Does anyone know what happened to linguistics at UEA? I studied it along
with philosophy in the 1990s and had a great time studying sociolinguistics
pragmatics computational languages, etc. Are these things still taught as
    part of the language school?

Hi there. Gret video- but I have to agree with Laura. If you are open to
suggestions, it would be great to see a video focused on Japanese studies,
so we can find out how the students find the course. Hope you don’t mind me
suggesting that. Thanks for the video :) Really helpful

I would’ve liked to see more if the Japanese aspect, as that focused a lot
on French and Spanish, but very interesting.

Hi there! Awesome that you watched this! I am actually one of the students
in the video – I am studying Japanese :) (I am the hand writing characters
:p) While we can obviously not control whether or not we get a video just
for us I fully agree with you :) Please PM me if you have any questions ^_^
And they mostly only focused on the French and Spanish because Japanese is
only in its first year here therefore is pretty small right now :p

Hi, I think this is partly because we are the first to study Japanese at
UEA – it is new this academic year so there is nobody who has gone to Japan
    with the course yet :)
